STYLISH DIAMOND NECKLACES

Diamond necklaces come in many styles and looks. Selecting the right necklace type plays a pivotal role in purchasing a diamond necklace. When looking for necklaces with diamonds, there are quite a number of options to choose from. The basic types are pendant and full necklaces. However, both these types have variations of their own and they come in different styles.

Diamond Pendants

Diamond pendants are very popular because of their elegance, simplicity and cost effectiveness. A diamond pendant is a small setting which hangs from a chain. The setting can be anything ranging from a single solitaire or a heart-shaped intricate design with multiple tiny stones, and the look of the necklace can be changed by swapping out the chain for a different design or style. Heart pendants are especially popular, but the pendant can come in any shape, and the stone can be cut in a variety of styles. These come in various shapes and designs. It can be shaped like any of the alphabets (depending on the person's initials), and also numbers, and hearts. These are a great way to express love and affection towards someone.

The top 5 pendants are-

  • Butterfly pendant
  • Pearl Necklace
  • Glass Heart Pendant
  • Karat Platinum Floating Heart Pendant
  • Filigree Circle Pendant

True Necklaces

In true necklaces the setting is not free-hanging, like a pendant. A true necklace is more expensive, because it requires more stones, since the stones are mostly set all around the necklace, instead of being present only in a pendant. Full necklaces are designed like chokers and chains in a variety of patterns. These are known as true necklaces because of their shape and style. Brides normally use chokers on their wedding day. Chokers vary in size and width. Ornate chokers and collars tend to be more suitable for highly formal occasions. In the case of a collar with a large array of stones, the necklace best complements a woman with a long neck and torso, so that the stones can be laid out elegantly without looking packed into a small space. Such necklaces are worn with low cut gowns, so that the diamonds are seen against the skin.

This summer, take tips from your favorite celebrities to spice up your jewelry wardrobe.

Layered necklaces seem to be a big rage this season. With necklace lengths going from short to long and from bulky to simple, a lot of celebs seem to be wearing two, three, four, if not more layers of gold, beaded, and silver necklaces. I personally like the tiffany key necklace look with all the different keys or even the clover necklace layering style.

When it comes to earrings, hoop earrings have always remained in style, but if you’re looking for something a little new, chandelier earrings seem to be a big thing. With flowing peasant skirts, shirts, and dresses flowing through the summer season, beaded jewelry seems to be the perfect accessory.

And when it comes to bracelets, big chunky bangles seem to be hot. From large wooden bangles to multiple layers of charm bracelets and David Yurman style cuff bracelets, there’s definitely a unique style out there for you to discover.

So spice up your summer with some new flashy jewelry because before you know it, you’ll be shopping for fall colors.

Though some dangling necklaces could be short and may rest flat on the neck, the longer ones could be as long as 30 to 35 inches and much more in case of triple layers. Though diamond pendants gain popularity with their inexpensiveness and debonair charm, diamond necklaces take the lead with their gorgeous appeal and gracefulness. Diamond necklaces could be choker i.e. snugly encircling the throat, or princess necklaces falling gracefully slightly above the chest. If your mom is gaga for a classic or gothic look, then a choker necklace with a grand center diamond piece is an apt choice for you to gift.

Colored Gem Necklaces:
There cannot be a more glamorous necklace than the one embedded with colored gemstones. A gemstone studded necklace is one of the authentic and magnificent items you can contribute to your mom’s jewelry collection.

Your mom would always get enamored with the irresistible beauty of pearl strands, regardless of the count of them already present in her collection. This is because of their classic and unceasing charm they carry in each round of pearl. If you wish to enchant her yet more, then go ahead and buy a strand of black Tahitian pearls which will certainly make her feel extra-special on her special day.

Diamond bracelets are also called tennis bracelets

During a tennis match in 1987, professional tennis player Chris Evert was wearing a bracelet with inline string of individually set diamonds. Unfortunately the clasp snapped, and Evert asked the court officials to hold the match till the time her jewelry could be found. From that time, bracelets with inline array of diamonds are called as tennis bracelets.

In tennis bracelets all the individual diamonds are kept in square settings & are strung into a bracelet which is held together by a clasp. These type of bracelets are popular in formal occasions because of their sparkle & luster.

For these types of bracelets, one of the most important things to take note of is the safety latch. In typical bracelets the clasp is based on a springy metal latch which meshes securely with a hook. In tennis bracelets, designers add a safety latch that connects the small studs to others on the other side of the main clasp because of which even if the main clasp breaks, the safety latch holds the bracelet intact up to the time it is repaired.

Necklaces- A Form of Jewelry that Is As Old As the Human Species!

Necklaces are a prime part of the jewelry pieces that we own and wear. We can claim the ownership of a variety of necklaces starting from a simple gold necklace to a very sophisticated and expensive diamond necklace. Where a gold necklace would be used on a casual day, a diamond necklace would be a part of our wedding attire! This is in respect to the current scenario.

Necklaces were not an invention of the jewelry designers of the era when precious metals like gold and silver were discovered! Though not in the form of gold and diamond necklaces, the concept of necklaces is 75,000 years old! If you follow the trail of human history, you would find necklaces as a part of their life even when clothing wasn’t! The disparity is just that, in those days necklaces were made of skulls, bones and other animal parts. These necklaces were worn both by men and women.

The invention of metals like gold and silver, however, was the major turning point in the trend of necklaces and other jewelry pieces. Necklaces now became a part of women’s jewelry. Gold necklaces were often seen beautifying women. With increased popularity of diamonds, diamond necklaces occupied a higher position than gold necklaces among the affordable classes. With the growing popularity of necklaces the need for more affordable forms than diamond necklaces aroused and thus, were introduced gemstone necklaces. It was not just the affordability factor but also the immense color splash offered that made gemstone necklaces a favorite of masses and designers.

What can form a better adornment than a dazzling pearl strand crafted out of glossy pearls increasing the elegance of a feminine neck. Pearl necklaces have been part of fashion ever since pearls were invented. Though the trends in their use have undergone tremendous changes, pearls have always acquired a soft spot in every woman’s heart. The current vogue is spectator of the introduction of colorful gemstones in pearl necklaces.

Though men used other jewelry pieces like gold rings and bracelets and also those made of other precious metals, necklaces were not very popular with them. It is with the entry of brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Prada etc that men’s necklaces started becoming popular again!
